Top 25: Ohio State claims top spot, Clemson a close second

Ohio State claimed the No. 1 position in Week 5 of The Fanatic’s national rankings. The Buckeyes received two of our six first-place votes with defending national champion Clemson, which narrowly prevailed against upset-minded North Carolina, also snaring two and Alabama and Georgia each receiving one first-place vote among our six panelists.

A total of thirty-five teams received votes — or at least a fraction of a vote — in this week’s poll.

Here are our Top 25 rankings with total votes received in parenthesis.
